Random Acts of Kindness Challenge

Ever wonder how you can change the world? We all want to live in a better world, where people are kind and help each other, where humanity reigns supreme, and the media reports more positive headlines than negative. But, how can one person change the world? I'll tell you how. You become part of a movement. Random acts of kindness is not a new concept, but it's one that should be constant. It works like dominoes. You knock one over and they keep on going until all of the dominoes are knocked down. Except instead of dominoes, you do a random act of kindness - that's right, a simple act of kindness that is completely random - and hope that the people you impacted will be influenced to continue the movement by doing their own random act of kindness until everyone is doing random acts of kindness. What a world that would be!

Doing random acts of kindness is also a great learning experience for children. It teaches them how to empathize and think about someone other than themselves. It shows them that their small acts of kindness can bring a smile to someone else's face and put them in a better mood. It causes them to look at everything differently because they start to ask themselves what else they can do to show kindness to others. It gives them a sense of pride that they are acting in a positive way. It can literally change their entire outlook on the world.

It can be hard to start a challenge and not really know what to do. So, I've got you covered. I've found tons of great ideas for small random acts of kindness that you can do to make someone smile without getting weird looks or feeling creepy and without spending any money. Of course, if you wish to put together a homeless kit or similar packet to hand out, you can save money by shopping at a dollar store. The great thing about this challenge is that you can do it however you want. We just want you to share it with us so that we can cheer you on and maybe even get more ideas. So be sure to take pictures of you and/or your kids doing a random act of kindness and post it on Instagram using the hashtag #raokchallenge. We'd also love for you to 'like' our facebook page (at the bottom of the page). Every week, I will post new ideas, information, and progress reports and in the comments of those posts, we want you to share your pictures from the week of your random acts of kindness. This will inspire others to join and show other members what an impact we're making as a group.

Thanks for joining the movement and I wish you all the best!
